Whenever you know, just know."Thailand - Banking for UK Citizens:FlexAccount - The Current Account from NationwideWe opened a Nationwide Building Society, current account, The Nationwide 'Flex Account'. There are a number of factors as to why we opted for this account. In order of importance to us: The Nationwide are not going to charge us for using cash machines in Thailand or anywhere else (UK or abroad) no matter who the ATM machine provider may be. Except however where the machine provider makes a charge at the time of the transaction, over which Nationwide have no control. They give free day to day banking, not charging us for everyday banking services like setting up standing orders, direct debits and overdrafts or using their ATM machines. There is generous interest if you've got money in your account, if you pay in £1,000 or more each month, you'll receive a higher rate of interest than normal, which could be up to 40 times more than what you're getting at the moment. There are only a few specialist services that you have to pay for, but they seem reasonable. They offer easy access to our money with Internet Banking that we can use anywhere we go! |
