Thailand - Ayutthaya - Wat Kasattrathirat

Wat Kasattrathirat - To the west of Muang Island, Ayutthaya on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. This ancient site was re consecrated around the first part of the Rattanakosin period, between 1780 and 1810.

An example of a  Bia Sima The heart shaped stone bia simas placed at the boundary of Wat Kasattrathirat are really well carved. Usually there are eight bia simas facing outwards in different directions but with a royal temple there are sixteen such markers.
