Ratchadamri Road - In the Siam district of central Bangkok.The main shopping area of Bangkok. Shopping for virtually anything in modern Department Stores and Malls. Accessible by Sky train and Expressway. There is a traditional Thai market and The United Kingdom Embassy is in the area on Wireless Road, Lumpini, Pathumwan, south of Phloenchit Road. Sukhumwit Road and New Phetburi Road - In the Khlong Toei district of eastern Bangkok.This area houses some of the best hotels and private residences in Bangkok as well as international standard shops and banks. The Sky train runs above Sukhumwit Road from the roads beginning in the west to the terminus at On Nut. The area is also served by the subway. Ratchadaphisek Road is a busy commercial district off Sukhumwit Road with a busy night life and is close to the Stock exchange and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
Old (Bangkok) Town and Chinatown Districts are on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River.This is the area of the original 200 year old city where you will find the Grand Palace , the Temple of the Emerald Buddha , Government Ministries and the Universities. Chinatown is just to the east of the Old Town area and is still a haven for chinese businesses and craftsmen. The Temple of the Gold Buddha and a Jewellery quarter are in Chinatown.
