Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha)

The Grand Palace and the Temple of The Emerald Buddha are co-located in the old royal compound in the heart of Bangkok close to the Chao Phraya River. This is one of the must sees in Bangkok.

The Grand Palace is famous for its impressive buildings but it must still be remembered that this is a royal site and certain areas are guarded and off limits to visitors.

The Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) is the most important and impressive Buddhist temples in the whole of Thailand.
