Thailand - East Region - Chon Buri Province

Chon Buri is a costal province with a mainly west facing seaboard and borders with 2 other eastern region provinces Chachoengsao and Rayong. Chon Buri also touches Chanthaburi at one point but has no border as such.

Chon Buri's most well known tourist resort area is Pattaya

Chon Buri is also the home to the Khao Kheow Open Zoo with its walk through avery and 'Night Safari'.

Other places of note are:

Bang Saen: The nearest beach resort to Bangkok.

Chao Mae Muk Shrine at Khao Sam Muk: A highly revered Buddhist shrine.

Koh Sichang: Tropical paradise island.
