Pattaya city is on the eastern coast of the Thailand in Chon Buri province. Pattaya is 147 km. from Bangkok on the inter province Sukhumwit Road. Pattaya occupies an area of about 200 sq. km. that is about 50 sq. km. of land and about 150 sq. km. of islands and sea. The mainland coastline is about 15 km. long. Pattaya has a flat plain in the coastal area with some high mountains in its southern region. The second language of the area is English, which is widely understood and spoken. 90% of the province income comes from international tourism. Pattaya has a climate that can roughly be divided into 3 seasonal periods. The Cool (to warm) Season is from November to February. The Hot (and humid) Season is from March to May. The Rainy (and hot) Season is from June to October.
