It has land borders with Cambodia to the south east, Laos to the north and east, Malaysia to the south and Myanmar (Burma) to the west and north. The last census took place in 2003 and the population count then was over 63 million, with 500,000 more women than men. Nearly 10% of the population live in Bangkok. Major manufactured exports are computers and peripherals, electronics and electrical goods, textiles, automobiles, gems and jewellery. Major agri-exports are rice, tapioca, rubber, maize, palm oil, pineapples, other fruit, vegetables and herbs.
