The Boon Rawd Brewery was Thailand's first and is the largest brewery. The brewery was founded by Phraya Bhirom Bhakdi back in 1933. The brewery is still a privately owned company and has expanded and diversified under the management of its founder. The company operates three breweries in Thailand and has an annual production capacity of 800 million litres. Together with the world famous "Singha" beer - A premium lager beer brewed from the finest ingredients, Boon Rawd's extensive product lines include other beers, drinking water and soda water. The brewery has developed a range of ready to drink fruit juices, tea and coffee. The Boon Rawd company produces and markets its products under "Leo", "Singha" and "Thai Beer" brand names.

"Singha" is a full-bodied 100% barley malt lager beer that is distinctively rich in taste with strong hop characters best served chilled. The Singha beer comes in 330 ml, 355 ml, and 630 ml bottles - Alcohol content 6.0% average by volume.

Singha Lager is also available as a Draft Beer, Alcohol content 6% by volume - This non-pasteurised Singha Lager Beer offers the essence of draft beer in a keg that is truly rich and creamy.

The price of Singha beer in Bangkok is as low as 35 Baht for the 630 ml bottle from supermarkets and convenience stores. But the price of Singha beer in Bangkok can be as high as 300 Baht in top hotels!

Singha beer in the UK - Singha (ABV 6%) is imported into UK direct from Thailand. Singha Gold (ABV 4.8%) that is made in Germany under license from Boon Rawd Brewery is imported into UK. The German "Singha" Gold still uses the traditional Thai recipe.
