What gives you some idea of the value of the money in Thailand? Well 1 baht is equal to about 1.3 pence sterling and the baht is divided into 100 satang - admittedly you wont find anything on sale for 1 satang but you will see the 25 satang used in change on many items. So by our reckoning 0.32 pence sterling is the lowest common denominator.
You can buy a 'roti' or 'rotee' - a kind of pancake with one of many fillings for between 10 and 30 baht That is roughly 13p to 39p for quite a tasty pudding - The 'sweet' roti has sugar and condensed milk on it - very yummy! And the banana roti, well you can't eat many of those real value at about 33 pence!
