Buddha: " Whenever you see things, just see. Whenever you listen, just listen. Whenever you know, just know."

Thailand - Northern Thailand
- Chiang Mai - Elephant Trekking

Elephant Trekking is one of the must do things in Thailand. By going Elephant Trekking you are preserving these magnificent creatures - without the 'passengers' these elephants would have to be destroyed! There is no other work for them to do in Thailand now.

The elephants we saw and rode on were treated well, fed and watered, bathed and cared for by their keepers.

The Trek we went on lasted just over an hour - going around the side of a hill in northern Chiang Mai province - starting at the Maesa Elephant Training Camp.

The Elephants were allowed to stop and graze whenever they pleased. This gave us the opportunity to look around (from the back of the elephant).
