Buddha: " Whenever you see things, just see. Whenever you listen, just listen. Whenever you know, just know."Thailand - Koh Samui -Natural WondersKoh Samui is quite a pretty island generally a verdant and pleasant place. Some of the natural wonders we have knowledge of are listed here.
Na Muang Waterfalls 1 and 2 in the southern central interior is a popular area with visitors. The Thai Royal Family has visited the falls which is enough to make them noteworthy. They are quite worth the visit and at Na Muang 1 there is an Elephant Trekking business (and an opportunity to feed the returning ellies with bananas purchased from a stall nearby. Overlap Rock - The little visited ‘Overlap’ Rock which is a misinterpretation of the word ‘Overlook’ is in the south eastern quarter of the island. This rock is a vertigo inducing promontory close to the summit of one of Koh Samui’s mountains and should only be attempted by 4x4 so far up the mountain as you can drive and the fit can hike the rest of the way to the rock via a badly signed route. The view from the stone is quite awesome – looking out over about an eighth of the island terrain. Hin Lad Waterfall Tar Nim Waterfall Wangsaotong Waterfall Three Headed Coconut Tree? Somewhere in the south eastern quarter there is alleged to be a triple headed coconut tree. We spent about 2 hours with a guide trying to find this elusive arboreal misfit to no avail. Eight Headed Coconut Tree? It was only after we had left Koh Samui that we heard of the eight headed coconut tree. Is someone trying to pull our leg?
