- Prachuap Kiri Khan Province
Prachuap Kiri Khan Province is the most northerly of the southern provinces.
Prachuap Kiri Khan province has land borders with Phetchaburi province
to the north and Chumphon province to the south, plus a western border
with the country of Myanmar (Burma). On the eastern side Prachuap Kiri
Khan province has the longest coastline of any of the Thai provinces.
The coastline is fully within the Gulf of Thailand.
Chong Krachok Hill and Buddhist Temple. The hill has a natural aperture
close to the apex with a long flight of (395) steps leading to the
Buddhist Thammikaram Temple or Wat Khao Chong Krachok with its relics
of the Lord Buddha.
Hua Hin is the oldest and still one of the most popular coastal resort
areas in Thailand. With 5 km of pure white sand beaches.
Pa La-U Falls. Two waterfalls about 70 km from Hua Hin. The falls
have a total of 11 leaps of water. Set in an evergreen forest area.
A terrific place to observe wild birds and butterflies.
Pranburi River: Great birdwatching river trip along the river - a journey
of about three hours.
Sam Roi Yot National Park. Located in Pranburi the 'Park of 300 Peaks'
is easily accessible mainly by boat on the Pranburi River and trekking.
The park is full of naturally beautiful vistas, wild life, birds and
butterflies. There are also hills with limestone caves that are accessible
to the public.
