Some of the attractions are fairly obvious.

Elephant trekking in Chiang Mai province Thirdly: The countryside covered with rich agricultural vistas, lush rainforests, hills and mountains - prime trekking terrain, with the occasional hill-tribe, elephant ride or rafting.

Fourthly: The Thai people - smiling, helpful, unflappable and easy going.

And of course the food! Everything from exotic fruits to the freshest and vast varieties of fish - All of this combined makes Thailand a something-for-everyone paradise.

Bangkok street kitchen Yes there is the fact that it can be hot and humid in dry season and wet in monsoon season and some coastal areas have been dominated by mass tourism - with resorts, boozy bars and the inimitable sexy shows. All that said - if you choose YOUR holiday though - It can be the holiday of a lifetime.
